Permissions within the meeting module allow a Simbli admin to grant or restrict access to certain content on an individual basis. Follow the steps below on how to navigate to a user’s profile and a breakdown of the different permissions available.

How to Set User Permissions

  1. Hover over the More tab
  2. Go to the User Administration Screen
  3. Click on the Permissions icon for the user
    Note: You can also click on a user’s name and scroll down to their permissions at the bottom of the page
  4. Edit user’s permissions as needed per module or their security role
  5. Click Save and Close

Administration Permissions

PermissionDescription
Access This TypeUser will see this meeting type in their meetings list and be able to access any published agenda
Users with this permission can be placed on an agenda workflow
Super UserThe user is able to add users and give permissions for the meeting type they are a super user for.Additionally, they are automatically given the following 12 permissions, which cannot be unchecked:(1) Administer Meetings, (2) Administer Minutes, (3) Edit Tasks, (4) Access Meeting Templates, (5) View Unpublished Meetings, (6) View Pending Items, (7) View Confidential Items, (8) View Management View Items, (9) View Limited View Items, (10) View Tasks, (11) Use Sticky Notes, and (12) Download Offline Versions. 
Administer MeetingsUser can create meetings, build and edit the agendas and publish the meetings.
Additionally, they are automatically given the following 11 permissions, which cannot be unchecked:
(1) Administer Minutes, (2) Edit Tasks, (3) Access Meeting Templates, (4) View Unpublished Meetings, (5) View Pending Items, (6) View Confidential Items, (7) View Management View Items, (8) View Limited View Items, (9) View Tasks, (10) Use Sticky Notes, and (11) Download Offline Versions.
Administer MinutesUser can take attendance and record minutes
Edit TaskUser can add and edit task items
Access Meeting TemplatesUser can create or edit meeting templates
View Unpublished MeetingsUser can view unpublished meetings for this type but cannot edit them

Attendee Permissions

View Pending ItemsCan view any agenda item that has not been marked Ready for Meeting
View Confidential ItemsCan view any agenda item that has been marked Board Confidential Items marked confidential are not visible to the public or users that do not have this option checked
View Management View ItemsCan view any agenda item that has been marked Management View Items marked management view will only show agenda item title but no content to board members, public, or users who do not have this option checked
View Limited View ItemsCan view any agenda item that has been marked Limited View Items marked management view will only show agenda item title but no content to public or users who do not have this option checked
Can VoteThe user’s name will appear in the voting grid to record motions and votes
View TasksUser can view tasks that have been created
Use Sticky NotesAccess to write and save personal notes for agenda items
Download Offline MeetingAbility to download meeting agendas to a computer for viewing offline viewing
Email NotifyUser will be on the list to receive an email notification when an agenda is published
