To customize user permissions, navigate to their User Profile screen. Below is a breakdown for each module and the levels of access or permissions that are and can be made available to a user.

How to Set User Permissions

  1. Hover over the More tab
  2. Go to the User Administration Screen
  3. Click on the Permissions icon for the user

Note: You can also click on a user’s name and scroll down to their permissions at the bottom of the page
4. Edit user’s permissions as needed per module or their security role
5. Click Save and Close


Administration

  1. User Administration Permissions 
    • Specify who can manage Users
    • Modify / create Default Permission sets
    • Manage groups
  2. Site Administration Permissions 
    • Customize the Site Header / Colors
    • Manage the Organization Details
    • Manage the Home Page Links

About Us
Setting Admin access for an About Us Type allows a user the ability to create or make changes regarding members of a group. An admin can add/remove users from a group, enter biography information on individual users, and create/edit a group description. If you toggle on Administer All About Us Types, all about us types will be turned on.


Meetings

Permissions for various access can be given on an individual basis for each meeting type in your Gamut site. This capability allows you to give a user different levels of access depending on their need to create, edit, submit, or participate in multiple meeting types. If you toggle on Administer all Meeting Types, all permissions will be selected.


Planning

Give admin access or determine a user’s viewing capability for strategic plan items.  The view type can be set for each plan type. If you toggle on Administer all Planning Types, all permissions will be selected.


Policy

Permissions for policy types are normally set by the security role chosen for a user. However, the permission can be changed, if needed, for a user. If you toggle on Administer all Policy Types, all permissions will be turned on.


Evaluations

Permission to access Choose a user’s level of access for evaluation types. If you toggle on Administer all Evaluation Types, all permission will be turned on.


Communications

Choose a user’s level of access for news types. If you toggle on Administer all News Types, all permission will be turned on.


Calendar

Choose a user’s level of access for calendar types. If you toggle on Administer all Calendar Types, all permission will be turned on.


Resources 

If you toggle on Administer all Resource Links, all links will be turned on.


Documents

Identify a user’s permissions for documents. A user can have visitor, member, or owner rights.
