Permissions within the policy module allow a Gamut admin to grant or restrict access to certain content on an individual basis. Follow the steps below on how to navigate to a user’s profile and a breakdown of the different permissions available.
How to Set User Permissions
- Hover over the More tab
- Go to the User Administration Screen
- Click on the Permissions icon for the user
Note: You can also click on a user’s name and scroll down to their permissions at the bottom of the page - Edit user’s permissions as needed per module or their security role
- Click Save and Close

Access This Type | User will see this policy type in their policy tab drop-down list and be able to access any documents set to publicNote: Additional permissions can be given allowing users to more settings and access to documents marked as private or authorized users. |
Document Type Visibility – Public | User is able to view documents marked as public |
Document Type Visibility – Private | User is able to view documents marked as public |
Administer This Type | User will be able to access the Policy Type Administration screen |
Administrator Settings – Edit Documents | User will be able to edit Document TypesNote: A user will first need to have the permission Administer This Type before be given access to Edit Documents |
